Electives must include 9 hours from
Humanities, 9 hours from Natural Sciences, 6
hours from Social Sciences, and 3 hours from
Fine Arts. Humanities: History, literature,
religious studies, philosophy, speech
communication, foreign language (above
intro-level). At least 3 hours must be at
sophomore level or above. Social Science:
sociology, psychology, government, political
science, anthropology, geography, economics.
Natural Sciences: Course work must include
biological and physical science, of which 6
hours must be in a two-semester sequence.
Fine Arts: music, dance, theatre.
2Concentration in areas of
Graphic Design, Ceramics, Drawing,
Painting, Photography, and Printmaking shall
consist of 18 hours of studio work in
selected area. Art students must take
courses in at least three areas of art
outside their primary area of concentration.
